My name is Angela Wang (she/her/hers) and I am a registered social worker. I value using an integrative approach as I believe there is a deep connection between different facets of our life, whether it is our mental health, physical health, relationships, culture, and more.
My role is to provide a safe and compassionate space to reflect and process complex thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that create conflict in one’s life. My approach is warm and welcoming, working collaboratively with you to make sense of these challenges.
As a therapist, I use ILF Neurofeedback for nervous system regulation. I have experience working with adolescent, young adult, adult, and elder populations navigating through anxiety, depression, life transitions, perfectionism, and trauma. Neurofeedback can help with cognitive function and overall well-being.
My Career
I hold a Master of Social Work and Honours Bachelor of Science specializing in Psychology from the University of Toronto. I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
Alongside my clinical work, I have had the opportunity to engage in clinical, experimental, and community-based research. This work has led me to develop a special interest in experiential learning, evidence-based practice, and emotional resilience, specifically how deepening the mind-body connection can improve our capacity for wellness.
Wherever you find yourself, I will support you in working toward your goals.
